Age Calculator is a utility application that computes a person's exact age or the difference between two dates. The application is provided by LLCAI Labs, a sole proprietor based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This policy describes the data that Age Calculator collects, stores, transmits, and shares with third parties. It is written in plain English so anyone can read it without legal training.

1. The short version

By default, Age Calculator stores nothing on any network server. The dates you type or pick, the calculations you save, and the app settings you choose all live locally on your device. The privacy switch in Settings → Privacy consent is off by default. When the switch is off, the application does not connect to Google AdMob and does not collect analytics events. When you flip the switch on, the application uses Google's Mobile Ads SDK to serve ads and a small number of diagnostics events to help us improve the product. You can flip the switch back off at any time.

2. Data we collect

2.1 Data stored locally on your device

• Birth dates you type or pick in the Home tab so the application can compute the age and the living counter.
• From and To dates you type or pick in the Date Difference tab so the application can compute the difference between them.
• Saved calculations you explicitly tap "Save" on. These persist in a local SQLite (Room) database inside the application's sandbox and are deleted when you tap Delete on a row, Clear all, or uninstall the application.
• Settings — language, theme, date format, and the privacy switch state — persisted via Jetpack DataStore Preferences in the application's sandbox.

None of the items above leave the device unless the privacy switch is on. Removing the application also removes all of these items.

2.2 Data collected when the privacy switch is on

When you flip the privacy switch on, the application enables Google's Mobile Ads SDK. From that point onwards the SDK and Google's AdMob service may collect and share:

• Advertising ID (GAID) — a resettable identifier Google assigns to your Android device.
• Coarse IP-derived location (country / region) — inferred by Google's AdMob service to determine which ad campaigns are eligible for your region.
• Ad-impression events (which ad was shown, when, and whether you tapped it).
• Click-through events (what tap you made on the ad).

These data are governed by Google's AdMob policies, including the AdMob privacy and messaging rules. We do not control or see the raw event stream; we only see aggregated dashboards.

3. Data the app does not collect

• Name, email address, phone number, postal address
• Account creation data (Age Calculator has no account system)
• Payment information (Age Calculator has no in-app purchases)
• Calendar entries or contact-list access (the application does not request those permissions)
• Microphone, camera, or precise GPS / location data (no location permission is requested)
• Photo, video, audio, document, or file-system access
• Crash logs or stack traces beyond what the Android system captures by default

4. Children

Age Calculator is not designed for or marketed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has registered or used the application under conditions that resulted in data collection, please contact us at llcailabs@gmail.com and we will delete any data on our side as quickly as possible.

5. Third parties we work with

We do not embed any other analytics SDKs, social-login SDKs, crash-reporting SDKs, or attribution SDKs.

6. Your rights and controls

• See what is on your device — Settings tab, then look at the four sections: Language, Theme, Date format, Privacy consent. For History, tap Delete or Clear all.
• Opt out of third-party data collection — Turn the Privacy consent switch to the off position. The next time the application starts, Google AdMob stops fetching ads.
• Reset your advertising ID — On Android 14 and newer: Settings → Security & Privacy → Other privacy settings → Ads. Resets the GAID so any future installs will be seen as fresh by ad networks.
• Uninstall — Removes every piece of local data the application stores, including the saved calculations and the settings. Nothing remains on the device.
• Request remote deletion — Because we do not collect data on our own servers, there is rarelyswitch is on. Removing the application also removes all of these items.

  7. Data retention

  • Saved calculations remain on the device until you delete them or uninstall the application.
  • Settings remain on the device until the application is uninstalled or the DataStore Preferences are cleared manually.
  • Any data that reaches Google's AdMob service is retained per Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not control that retention window.

  8. Data transit and security

  All network traffic generated by Age Calculator is HTTPS. Google's Mobile Ads SDK authenticates with Google's servers and uses TLS 1.2 or higher by default. Local data live inside the application sandbox; another app cannot read them without root privileges, and we never copy them off the device.

  9. International transfers

  LLCAI Labs is based in Malaysia. When the privacy switch is on, limited ad-related data is processed by Google's AdMob servers, which may be located in regions outside your home jurisdiction. This is governed by Google's global privacy policies.

  10. Policy updates

  If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and add a short note under the date showing what changed. Material changes will result in an in-app banner pointing at the new policy URL.
